The Crown & Garter Pub with Rooms is a true gourmet bolthole and champions local produce, with the meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, eggs and cheeses, being sourced from named local suppliers. The menu is bursting with colourful dishes that let the ingredients shine through and is influenced by the seasons. All bread and baked goods, including breakfast pastries, are made by Honesty Bakery and delivered to The Crown & Garter Pub with Rooms twice daily. The food is simple and delicious: home-made pâtés, proper Sunday roasts, lightly battered “Good Old Boy” fish and chips, and bar snacks including mini scotch eggs and the incredibly moreish Old Winchester Cheese Straws. Desserts are not to be missed and include marinated English strawberries, peach crumble and the selection of home-made sorbets and ice cream is well worth leaving room for!


The 10 individually designed rooms are situated around a pretty courtyard. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed with televisions, hairdryers, a desk and Wi-Fi. Each room has a super king-sized bed made with high-quality Egyptian cotton linens and a separate shower room. In-line with the current government guidelines, a contactless check-in is available with guests receiving their room number prior to arrival and the keys to the room left inside. Rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and a 24-hour vacancy period between each guest will be implemented.
